Hospitals in Aylesbury will benefit from an additional investment of £5 million to help the NHS transform care for patients locally.
“For Aylesbury this will mean the creation of a new Rapid Assessment and Treatment Centre and observation unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital
‘This is part of NHS England’s Five Year Forward View plan which will invest an additional £8 billion a year in real terms by the end of the Parliament. This will result in much better integrated care locally, which is being taken forward through Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships.
Patients will see this investment deliver faster diagnosis for conditions like cancer, easier access to mental care, expansion of A&Es, shorter waits for operations, and more services in GPs surgeries.”
